Looking Glass

Example: Library Card Application

This walk-through demonstrates how operators use Looking Glass to complete a public library card application efficiently and accurately. Follow the three steps below: Scan, Retrieve, and Fill.

1. Scan

Step 1 – Scan: The operator scans the library card application form to extract fields.
Step 1 – Scan: Open the extension and choose Scan Form. Looking Glass extracts the form schema (e.g., First Name, Address, Date of Birth) from the library’s application page.

2. Retrieve

Step 2 – Retrieve: Looking Glass requests candidate answers from the backend using the provided selector.
Step 2 – Retrieve: Provide an entity selector (for example, a patron/customer ID). Looking Glass queries your backend and returns authoritative candidate answers for each field.

3. Eval and Fill

Step 3 – Fill: Suggested values are filled into the library form; the operator verifies and submits evals.
Step 3 – Fill: Candidate answers are applied to the page. Verify each field, correct any mistakes, and mark unknowns. Submit evals to record judgments for accuracy tracking.
